The mission of the Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX Programs is to ensure that the University has policies and procedures in place to prevent and address discrimination and/or harassment and related retaliation on the basis of legally protected categories such as race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy genetic or family medical history, disability, protected veteran status, or any other legally protected status.
The Office works with University Administration, departments, and committees to ensure that University policies and programs comply with applicable nondiscrimination requirements; and provides an avenue whereby students and employees may address concerns regarding discrimination and/or harassment.
The University Compliance Officer serves as the Campus Coordinator for the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
